You don’t need us to tell you that your kids are AWESOME! Martial Arts training can help them to become even better by developing them both physically and mentally. Our fun, action packed classes consist of many different types of training and exercises which assist their learning.
We always have a fun and exciting warm up to get the energy pumping around their little bodies. We often find that long days at school, sat down doing a lot of written and “brain work” can leave them feeling drained and exhausted. Breaking them straight into high energy activities makes them feel better in minutes, which then gets them mentally into “the zone” to allow for better and more enjoyable learning through the duration of the class.
From line drills, whereby pupils stand in rows practicing karate moves on command to bag and pad exercises with partners and groups. Martial arts training methods have come on a long way. These days lessons are a lot of fun and often involve much laughing. We believe that fun and enjoyment is the key to learning!
Life skills and safety skills are a big part of our classes. We cover subjects like: discipline, respect, listening, memory, fire safety, stranger awareness, poison prevention and road traffic safety to name just a few. These units are worked on and a certificate for each is awarded on completion. Various exercises are used to teach these lessons including class discussions, roleplaying, games, etc.
We like to finish classes with a game. All games are educational and help to improve and compliment their martial arts training. It is a great way to reward their hard work and good behaviour whilst getting some sneaky extra training out of them.
